About Us

The foundation of SH Binayak Multi-speciality Hospital is based on the visionary ideals of Mr. Karan Singh Binayak, a reputed name in the real estate domain. Along with him was Brig. Y. Mukerjee (retd.), and Mr. Vikram Singh Binayak together, they thought of giving the people of West Bengal a healthcare facility that could cater to their medical needs under one roof.

The core team also consists of experts in the medical field such as Dr. Tanmoy Kr. Mondal (Medical Oncologist), Dr. Sukhamoy Barik (Consultant Gynecologist), Dr. Soumen Das (General Surgeon & ONCO Surgeon), Dr. Debjoy Sau (Gastroenterologist), Dr. P. N. Mahapatra (Medical Oncology) and Mr. Vikram Singh Binayak.

Mission and Vision

Mr Binayak believes that health is as important as shelter, considering the two sides of the same coin. SH Binayak Multi-speciality Hospital, therefore, aims to eliminate the need for patients to seek specialized check-ups and medical treatment outside Kolkata. Our vision is to bring a new era of medical excellence in the field of Gastrointestinal, Gynecology, and advanced cancer treatment in Kolkata, surpassing geographical boundaries to become a healthcare destination for patients from all over the country.

Mr Binayak’s vision is to upgrade the health structure of the state to the extent that people from other parts of the country choose to come here to receive top-grade treatment. Binayak Healthcare is also striving to surpass its goal of creating affordable healthcare opportunities, compared to those in Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, and other parts of the country.

Building blocks of Binayak Healthworld

Binayak Healthworld was born as a two-phase integrated project that was later relaunched as SH Binayak Multi-speciality Hospital, with finer infrastructure and more facilities. It was the brainchild of Mr. Karan Singh Binayak, Mr. Vikram Singh Binayak, and Brig. Yadav Mukherjee S.M. (Retd.) who were also the founders and directors of the establishment. While the plans of starting a medical college for aspirants in the field are still being baked, here is what has already taken shape in reality:

Phase-I: Diagnostic and Polyclinic

The first phase of Binayak Healthworld includes the latest addition of an advanced diagnostic department equipped with cutting-edge technology to deliver the best and most accurate pathology, microbiology, biochemistry, radiology, and imaging services. Our lab has a cutting-edge 1.5T MRI, 32-Slice CT Scanner, Color Doppler, X-Ray, and 20 ace-level consultant chambers for specialist and super-specialist doctors.

Team

In our laboratory department, Dr Rajat Mukherjee, MD (Pathology), leads the team, along with Dr Partha Pratim Samui (Interventional Radiologist) who leads the imaging department, and ensures that the highest standards are maintained constantly. Right from inception, we adhere to ISO/IEC Guide 17025 and aim for accreditation to NABL.
On the other hand, we have highly experienced and knowledgeable professionals. They ensure prompt services with the utmost care and proper report and data management to make them accessible through digital means. We also employ the latest technology developed in the best labs in Germany and the USA to deliver results faster and better.

  • 500 mA X-Ray Unit with IITV that offers specialized X-ray scanning and reports
  • Access-Chemiluminescent Immunoassay System conducts 100 tests per hour for critical diagnostics. This includes thyroid hormone panels, anaemia profiles, reproductive hormones, and infectious disease serology.
  • Anthos 2010 ELISA Reader from Beckman Coulter is used for endpoint/kinetic ELISA applications, protein assays, and cytokines.
  • Bactec 460 TB from Becton Dickinson offers an early diagnosis of tuberculosis with drug sensitivity.
  • Bactec 9050 from Becton Dickinson is an automated culture system for aerobic, anaerobic, and fungal cultures.
  • Digital Colour Doppler Ultrasound System provides comprehensive ultrasound services.
  • 32-Slice CT Scanner offers detailed CT scans for various body parts.
  • The Hematology Cell Counter is equipped to utilize Coulter AcT diff and Coulter Act 8.
  • Nikon 80i Fluorescent Microscope is applicable and widely used in autoimmune markers and renal pathology studies.
  • The Operation Theatre has three centrally air-conditioned divisions, each equipped with the latest technology, making performing various surgical procedures easier and more comfortable.
  • Paragon Electrophoresis System showcases cutting-edge technology for electrophoresis of serum, haemoglobin, and immunofixation electrophoresis.
  • Supercon 1.5T MRI System covers a broad spectrum of imaging services
  • Synchron CX 4 Pro from Beckman Coulter is a fully automated biochemistry analyzer capable of 225 tests per hour and covers various categories.
  • Synchron EL–ISE is an advanced Electrolyte System from Beckman Coulter that analyzes Na, K, Cl, Li, and Co2 with rapid results for urgent electrolyte requests.

Phase II: SH Binayak Multi-Specialty Hospital

After re-launching as SH Binayak Multi-Specialty Hospital located in ‘SH Binayak Enclave’ in Dumdum, it now has a capacity of 101 beds. As part of offering state-of-the-art healthcare services, every patient is treated by the best doctors, surgeons, and therapists who provide treatment with great care and compassion.

Our hospital is equipped with top-grade technology that can be availed by patients at reasonable charges. We also offer a cashless facility for patients with medical insurance, making quality healthcare accessible to all.

  • A 24-hour Pharmacy that is stocked with physician-prescribed medicines and provides services round the clock.
  • 15 ICU and HDU beds: The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) has Philips Multi Parameter Monitors, Defibrillators, ECG Pagewriter, Holter, and high-end Ventilators.
  • The Multi-Specialty Care comprises a team of leading doctors and experts offering consultation in various disciplines along with an equipped pain clinic
  • Our Neonatal Care Unit is fully equipped with Philips Multi-Parameter Monitors, a Care Plus Incubator, a Warmer, Biliblanket Phototherapy, and high-end Ventilators.
  • The Nephrology Unit provides excellent dialysis facilities, an RO water plant, and high-end dialysis equipment along with 5 dedicated dialysis labs and machines
