Dr. Soumen Das, MBBS, MS, FACS, FRCS (Glasgow) is a leading Breast and Surgical Oncologist from India and the Founder & Director of the Institute of Breast Diseases, Kolkata. He is the first Indian to be certified by the European Breast Surgical Oncology Certification (BRESO). Dr. Das is the innovator of Das’s Classification of Breast Cancer Surgery, the Reverse Bay of Bengal (RBOB) Flap for breast reconstruction, and the Kolkata Breast Pain Chart, which is followed by breast clinics worldwide. He is the first Indian recipient of the prestigious Vanessa Moss Award from London Global Cancer Week for excellence in cancer care research. With more than 100 scientific publications, book chapters, and over 5,000 successful cancer surgeries, his areas of expertise include Breast Cancer, Breast Surgery, Gastrointestinal Cancers, and HIPEC.
